aaaaAAARRRGGGgggghhh.

Today, I am ashamed to admit, I did the unthinkable. It was pretty bad.

I watched a chick flick with my grandma. And then I called it my favorite movie.
*SHUDDER*

On a side note, I just got some spam email that had a sent date of Friday, August 2, 1963. I found this slightly humourous.

Romans 8:35-39

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered." No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

It was looking pretty bleak. I really didn't think I'd make it through this semester. I thought God gave up on me...or at least was so sick of watching me stumble that He'd finally let me have what I rightfully deserved. But I guess He's more stubborn than me. Everything has to happen HIS way. And gosh, I'm so thankful for that.

Well God, you've done it again.
Thank you.

I need a quote board around here.

I miss the quote board my old roommate and I shared. It was pretty sweet. There haven't been as many good quotes in my life since I moved out (I miss you, roomie!!) but I still hear a few funny words here and there. The following were all addressed to or about me sometime this week:

"Ahh...I see we have one sadistic soul here." -my biology prof after I laughed at his hand granade joke

"I'm sorry, I forgot my girdle in the bathroom!" -My half-clothed grandma as I'm brushing my hair over the vanity

"Look daddy, another girl."- Little girl at the grocery store pointing to me
"No honey, that's a lady."-Her dad, probably trying to make me feel better

It's worth a try.

It has come to my attention that Christmas is around the corner.
I have made my wish list easier for you all this year: don't buy me anything.
INSTEAD....

Donate money to www.worldvision.org or www.fmsc.org or www.invisiblechildren.com.
That would be awesome. Seriously.

Then, if you absolutely must buy me something tangible, get me a CD.
Okay, I hope that's easy enough.
